What you can do

• Print our ready-made puzzles and answer keys as often as you like for your family, your classroom, a homeschool group, a party or similar use. Teachers and tutors may use them in lessons, including paid ones. What’s not allowed is selling the puzzles themselves.
• Share a link to any page on this site, including by pinning it to Pinterest.
• Post a PDF to a private class page that only your students can see.

What we ask you not to do

• Don’t sell our puzzles or PDFs, or include them in a product you sell.
• Don’t repost the PDFs on another website or offer them for download elsewhere. Link to the page instead. Pinning a page to Pinterest or sharing it on social media with a link back is fine.
• Don’t copy the site at scale or interfere with how it works.

Puzzles you make

When you make a puzzle in the word search generator from your own word list, you can use it however you like, including sharing it. We don’t claim any rights in it, and because the generator runs in your browser, we never see it. You are responsible for the words you choose. Puzzles and word lists from our theme pages stay under the rules above, even if you open them in the generator.

Content and checks

We check every ready-made puzzle as described on our About page, but no automated scan or review can promise that every grid is right for every child. Please look over a puzzle before handing it to a child. The generator blocks a short list of offensive words, but it doesn’t check whether your words suit a child’s age.

Ownership

The puzzles, word lists, PDFs, artwork and text on this site belong to us. These terms give you permission to use them as described above; they don’t transfer ownership. We may change or remove puzzles and pages at any time.

No warranty

The site and its puzzles are provided free and “as is.” We try to keep everything available and correct, but we can’t promise the site will always work or be error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or its puzzles. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that can’t be waived.
